How Being Consistently Visible Will Increase Profits
23 September 2024
How can you be consistently visible in your business that leads to an increase in profit and what are the different types of visibility that you can have? Wanting the right people to see you with the right message is key.
Hearing people suggest being on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube – every type of social media just to be seen can be stressful! Instead, think of a way that you can be the beacon by putting out great information that attracts your ideal client rather than you going out to search for them.
How can you attract your ideal client?
The way to do this is to use a funnel. Give some value, and in return for that free information the client will give you their email address, and that is how they come into your world. Achieve this through a sequence of emails, a video or whatever platform is the best traffic generator for you online.
An example of a funnel that works for us is “How to identify your ideal client” and I put this out for free and in return for people giving me their email addresses. Because they have given me their email addresses, I can then start emailing them. I have an automatic system where my emails go out to them in which I introduce myself, and what I do and offer them the opportunity to come into my membership.
Being consistently visible starts with you giving value
When I put out things like a guide to identifying your ideal client and I see people signing up with their email address, then I know they are at the beginning of their business journey – this is the ideal client for my business and when I start the visibility process. I became visible to that audience by going on podcasts as a guest, and speaking on stages. Both of these were great to reach a much bigger audience through someone else’s audience.
Be the expert
You need to start thinking of yourself as an expert in what you do and be confident about that. The biggest issue for people is that they don’t think they are an expert and because of this, they are not consistently visible. They hide because they feel like a fraud and imposter syndrome comes in. It can be hard because there’s so much noise out there of people fighting for space in the online world but it has to start with you believing that you are the right person to teach this and help people with their issues.
How can you put yourself out there to be more visible?
Speak at networking events
In the UK there is an app called ‘Eventbrite’ that can be used to see where the local networking events are taking place in your area. Sign up and get a ticket to attend. Network with people there and offer your advice as the expert on your topic.
Run Facebook ads to your target audience
Do some research before you launch any Facebook ads so you know that you are targeting the correct audience. This will save you money in the long run when you launch a campaign. Getting your posts in front of the right audience will increase your visibility dramatically, making the investment in Facebook ads worthwhile.
Create an email list
This way you have the details of your ideal audience as they have signed up for your freebie and you can target them with expert advice and guidance in your field of expertise. Be consistent with your emails, do not send one out then disappear for weeks. This will not pique people’s interest.
Join Facebook groups
Consistently show up and answer people’s queries in both your own Facebook group and others. People will recognise your name when they continually see you sharing information.
Collaboration
You can be visible to somebody else’s audience through collaboration, meaning you can double your audience, but there needs to be something in it for both of you to share the audience. Always make sure you are collaborating with someone who has a similar sized audience to you and that it is worth it.
People are more interested in you and your personality than in what you do. They will know what you do very quickly and that is not necessarily going to keep them around. It is everything else around you and not just work, work, work.
It is the statements you make.
It is the things you stand for.
It is the stuff you like.
It is the personal stuff you share.
I hope this has given you a few ideas of how you can be more consistently visible. Always remember that visibility equals sales and the more you are visible, the more money you will make. Get out there and show who you are and what you can do.
